The records are written mostly in Latin and Hungarian, but for several years are in Carpatho-Rusyn (Cyrillic alphabet). The period from 1770-1820 is somewhat incomplete, and baptism records only go through 1899. The sequence of the records on each microfilm is described below:

Another useful source of information is the 1869 Hungarian census for Litmanova (microfilm #
2149896, also available at Family History Centers). The census lists data about the residents, property and livestock for each house in the village.

Fayette county was the center of Litmanova immigration from 1900-1920. The Recorder of Deeds contains marriage records for over 140 Litmanova immigrants from this period.
