Born on February 11, 1882 in Litmanova, Slovakia, to Gabriel Beňo and Maria Balaš.

Arrived in the USA for the first time around early 1903, at age 20-21.

Married Nicholas Pacanovsky, another native of Litmanova, on August 28, 1903 in Leisenring, Fayette county, PA, at age 21. They had 10 children: Anna, George, John, Joseph, Katherine, Margaret, Mary, Michael, Nicholas and Peter.

Returned to Litmanova shortly after the birth of her first child. Arrived in the USA again on November 12, 1908, at age 26, on the ship Barbarossa sailing from Bremen to New York.

Resided at several locations in Fayette county, PA, mostly near Orient, where her husband was employed as a coal miner.

Relocated to the Financial District of lower Manhattan, NY, in 1928, where she worked as an office cleaner and her husband as a carpenter. After her husband's death in 1934, moved again to the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Died in June 1969 in New Jersey, at age 87.
