Born on February 14, 1891 in Litmanova to Saul Pačepa and Katarina Češelka.

Arrived in the USA on November 16, 1900, at age 9, on the ship Trave sailing from Bremen, Germany to New York. She was escorted by Vasil Rusiňak of Litmanova. Her final destination was the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, residence of her aunt, Kristina (Cheselka) Koma.
