Born on November 28, 1874 in Litmanova to Gabriel Beňo and Maria Marčišak. She was part of the Beňo family branch known as "Tutoňova".

Arrived in the USA on November 14, 1893, at age 18, on the ship Caland sailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands to New York.

Married Peter Chernewski, a native of Poland, on April 28, 1895 in St. Elias Greek Catholic church in Brooklyn, NY, at age 20.

Resided on Washington Street in the Financial District of lower Manhattan, NY. Her husband was employed as a longshoreman.

Anna suffered the loss of her first three children, and died from complications arising from childbirth on June 6, 1899, in Manhattan, NY, at age 24. She was buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.
